Tôm tươi rửa sạch, cắt bỏ râu. Sau đó ướp tôm với 1/2 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, 1/2 muỗng cà phê đường cho ngấm gia vị. Trứng gà đập vào chén, đánh tan. Hành lá, hành tím cắt nhỏ.
Làm nóng 1 muỗng canh dầu ăn. Cho tôm tươi đã ướp vào, đảo đều cho tôm chín hẳn. Cho tôm ra đĩa.
Phi thơm hành tím với 3 muỗng canh dầu ăn. Cho cơm vào, đảo đều đến khi hạt cơm khô, săn lại là được.
Đổ từ từ trứng đánh tan vào chảo cơm. Đảo đều tay cho trứng bám đều vào cơm. Nêm 1 muỗng canh nước mắm vào cho vừa ăn.
Khi cơm, trứng chín, cho tôm tươi đã xào vào, đảo đều thêm 1 phút. Rắc hành lá vào, tắt bếp.
Bày món ăn ra đĩa, dùng nóng. Chan thêm tương ớt, nước tương nếu thấy nhạt.
